XPP (Extruded Polypropylene ) foam is a closed-cell foam material made from polypropylene (PP) resin through foaming processes. This unique material offers high melt strength and excellent foaming properties.

Advantages of XPP Foam Core
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Lightweight and Strong | Low density with high strength — lighter and tougher than traditional EPE or EVA foam. |
Excellent Heat Resistance | Can be used continuously at 100–120°C without deformation or shrinkage. |
Closed-cell Waterproof Structure | Independent cell structure with water absorption below 1%, resistant to moisture and mildew. |
Outstanding Thermal Insulation | Low thermal conductivity (<0.036 W/m·K), suitable as a heat insulation layer. |
Excellent Cushioning and Energy Absorption | Strong resilience with excellent impact and vibration absorption. |
High Chemical Resistance | Resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, and most solvents. |
Eco-friendly and Recyclable | Free of CFCs and HCFCs, compliant with environmental standards, and recyclable. |
Excellent Processability | Can be thermoformed, cut, die-cut, laminated, or heat-welded; easy to bond with other materials. |
