Description

Thermoplastic polypropylene honeycomb panels are widely favored across many industries for their lightweight and durable properties. They are commonly used in the construction of caravan bodies, RV bodies, dry freight truck bodies, building components, and various types of sealed enclosures.

The hollow honeycomb structure of thermoplastic polypropylene panels introduces challenges in bonding, as traditional methods such as nails, bolts, and rivets, which work well for solid panels, are ineffective for this type of structure. To solve this, the use of hot melt adhesive sticks becomes a reliable solution. Hot melt adhesives, which are solvent-free, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly, offer quick bonding times and high strength.

The process is straightforward: a hot melt gun is used to heat the adhesive sticks, which are then applied to the required connection points. This method also allows for the bending of flat honeycomb panels, adding to its versatility. The bond strength achieved is comparable to methods that rely on metal profiles.

This method eliminates the need for metal profiles, significantly reducing costs, simplifying the assembly process, and decreasing the overall weight of the finished product. It not only streamlines the work but also boosts production efficiency. Even operators with no prior experience can quickly master the technique after brief training.
