TOPOLOGROUP offers fully custom door kits for heavy, medium, and light-duty trailers. Our door systems include custom composite door panels and precisely matched accessories. Each door is pre-assembled and can be quickly installed on the trailer upon arrival on site.
Composite Door Panel Structure
Composite sandwich panel structures are lighter, stronger, and more durable.
The door panel core uses PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) foam, a high-performance lightweight material that serves as an ideal replacement for traditional plywood and metal sheets. It offers the following advantages:
- High rigidity and durability, ensuring long-term structural stability.
- Excellent impact and fatigue resistance, suitable for frequent door operation and heavy-duty environments.
- Fully recyclable, supporting sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing practices.
The outer skin of the door panel is made of CFRT (Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic) sheet, a composite sheet composed of continuous glass fiber and thermoplastic polypropylene (PP). It offers superior impact resistance and better protection compared to thermosetting FRP sheets or aluminum sheets of the same thickness.
The inner skin of the door panel is made of aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets, which enhances the structural strength of the door panel and protects it from damage caused by the movement of heavy cargo during trailer travel.
In addition, we can provide alternative core options based on customer requirements, such as MPP (Microcellular Polypropylene ) foam, PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) foam, PP (Polypropylene) honeycomb, or plywood, to meet different structural and cost demands.
