XPP (Extruded Polypropylene ) foam is a closed-cell foam material made from polypropylene (PP) resin through foaming processes. This unique material offers high melt strength and excellent foaming properties.

Advantages of XPP Foam Core

FeatureDescription
Lightweight and StrongLow density with high strength — lighter and tougher than traditional EPE or EVA foam.
Excellent Heat ResistanceCan be used continuously at 100–120°C without deformation or shrinkage.
Closed-cell Waterproof StructureIndependent cell structure with water absorption below 1%, resistant to moisture and mildew.
Outstanding Thermal InsulationLow thermal conductivity (<0.036 W/m·K), suitable as a heat insulation layer.
Excellent Cushioning and Energy AbsorptionStrong resilience with excellent impact and vibration absorption.
High Chemical ResistanceResistant to acids, alkalis, salts, and most solvents.
Eco-friendly and RecyclableFree of CFCs and HCFCs, compliant with environmental standards, and recyclable.
Excellent ProcessabilityCan be thermoformed, cut, die-cut, laminated, or heat-welded; easy to bond with other materials.
