TOPOLOGROUP aircraft catering truck bodies are designed to serve both narrow and wide-body aircraft, accommodating doorsill heights ranging from 2700mm to 6100mm. These self-contained units are mounted on trucks and feature a hydraulic scissor mechanism for the lifting and lowering of the van body. During the lifting and loading process, the unit is stabilized with stabilizer jacks, which are fully welded to the Hi-Lift frame for added support. The design ensures seamless interface with the aircraft galley door, providing maximum safety for personnel while safeguarding the aircraft’s structure.
Process Characteristics
- The body is made of food-grade FRP panels that meet strict hygiene standards. It is durable, smooth and easy to clean, ensuring food safety.
- The internal frame of the body is made of high-strength materials such as aluminum or steel to provide sufficient strength for the box.
- The catering truck body uses high-performance XPS (Extreme Speed Polystyrene) or PU (Polyurethane) foam insulation to keep perishable items fresh and ensure that hot meals are delivered at the right temperature.
- Equipped with a lifting platform, it docks with the aircraft cargo door for fast and safe loading and unloading.
- The interior of the body can be fully customized to meet specific operational needs, featuring options such as observation windows, safety handrails, and track rails.
- Customized aluminum alloy or stainless steel safety guardrails provide additional safety. These guardrails are not only highly corrosion-resistant and durable, but also effectively prevent personnel from accidentally falling when loading and unloading catering items.
- The bodies are delivered to the truck manufacturer’s factory either mounted or in CKD kit form.
