23mm Plywood Panels with FRP & CFRT Skins

Home » Sandwich Panels » Plywood Panel Series

This composite panel uses plywood as the core, with a thermoset FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) sheet on one side and a CFRT (continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic) sheet on the other. The design smartly combines two different composite materials, achieving a balance of strength, appearance, and durability.

  • Thickness: 23mm. (Customized 5.0-50mm)
  • Length: ≤12000mm.
  • Width: ≤3200mm.
  • Facing: One side Gelcoat FRP sheet, one side CFRT sheet.
  • Core: Plywood. (Birch, pine, poplar, eucalyptus, oak, etc.)

Structural diagram

  • FRP Surface (Outer Layer)

☑ Smooth and Glossy Appearance: The gelcoat FRP surface is flat, bright, and visually appealing.

☑ Excellent Weather and Water Resistance: Withstands UV radiation, rain, and corrosion, maintaining color and gloss over time.

☑ Easy to Clean and Maintain: The glossy surface resists dirt and stains, ideal for outdoor or exposed applications.

  • CFRT Surface (Inner Layer)

☑ High Toughness and Wear Resistance: The continuous fiber reinforcement provides outstanding resistance to impact and abrasion.

☑ Tear and Impact Resistant: Ideal for applications requiring high mechanical performance and durability.

☑ Excellent Dimensional Stability: The thermoplastic matrix offers flexibility and prevents cracking or delamination.

  • Core — Waterproof marine-grade plywood

☑ High-quality waterproof performance: Marine-grade plywood is resistant to moisture and heat and retains its shape.

☑ Flame-retardant and durable: Provides excellent fire rating and structural stability for a long service life.

☑ High structural strength: Offers higher load-bearing capacity and impact resistance than ordinary wood panels.
